Sophia: 4-5 months

Soon after Memorial Day weekend, Sophia learned how to roll over from her back to her tummy. No surprise it’s one of her favorite things to do these days. Thankfully she’s getting more familiar with tummy time so she can flip over and entertain herself for a good while. Just the other day, Mia realized Sophia could sit unassisted for ~10 seconds at a time. This is a big milestone as she needs to be able to sit unassisted to be ready for the older infant room at daycare in mid July. I started back at work part-time 2 weeks ago. Rin and Edward came down to visit and help take care of Sophia for a Friday when I busy seeing patients and getting reoriented to the world of genetics. Mia and Poppop came down last week. This was big for us as Mike and I were able to go on our first date since Sophia’s arrival. We highly recommend “Hangover”! Grandma Lipinski arrives tomorrow for a week of Sophia care so hopefully this means more dates for us. The other exciting news to share is that Sophia tried her first “solids”. The rice cereal and breast milk combo is hardly a solid, but it’s a great place to start! We’re off to NJ for a week at the end of June to spend time in Chesterfield and Atlantic City. We’ll see how Sophia likes the Jersey Shore!!
